Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
